The 15th Global AIDS Conference will open tomorrow
in Bangkok, Thailand, and CoCo will attend as the representative
of the Asian artists. Here's an overview of this trip to Bangkok,
where CoCo will meet various youth groups discussing what she can
do to educate and protect them from contracting AIDS:
Jul 10: 8:00 pm Arrival to Bangkok
Jul 11: 11 am depart from Four
Seasons Hotel to Lopuburi Temple/AIDS Hospice visit (fans welcome
to say goodbye before CoCo's long ride to the countryside)
4 pm to Gerda House-HIV+ Orphanage
Jul 12: 10:30 am arriving at
Gaysorn Plaza for photo exhibition (fans
welcome)
2 pm meet with Thailand's Prime Minister
4:30 pm interviews with press at Omega Boutique
Jul 13: 12:30 pm leave for Press
Conference at IAC (Int'l AIDS
Conference conference center)
5:30 pm cocktail party at Four Seasons Hotel
Jul 14: 7 pm performance at the
InterContinental Hotel at the Benefit
Reception hosted by BMW. Omega will donate a watch, the red one
CoCo promotes, for auction.
Jul 15: 1:30 pm leaving Four
Seasons to Airport
CoCo is the first Chinese singer to be so involved and concerned
with AIDS work, this attributed to her growing up in San Francisco
in early 80's where AIDS was at its most frightening stage. CoCo
hopes to use her influence to educate everyone to protect themselves
from contracting AIDS. |
