It the sixth year in a row for StarTV to live broadcast the Academy Awards this year. Therefore, they invite CoCo to be the spokesperson and to come back to Taiwan for promotion.

CoCo shot the promotion videos in front of the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. In these five videos, CoCo introduces the audience to this year's nominees in the five major categories - Best Picture, Directing, Actor in a Leading Role, Actress in a Leading role and Actor in a supporting role.

CoCo performed the Best Original Song nominee "A Love Before Time" for the 73th Academy Awards. She is the first Chinese that performed at the Oscar's.

Both the Mandarin and English theme songs for Ang Lee's "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" - "A Love Before Time" - are performed by CoCo.
